Public-Safety & Mission-Critical Communications
When the network has to work every time, the engineering has to be right the first time. We have delivered the civil and structural infrastructure behind some of the largest interoperable public-safety radio systems in the United States, and have served as a subject-matter expert on national broadband-for-public-safety initiatives.
What we do
- P25 trunked radio infrastructure — civil and structural design and construction management for Phase I and Phase II systems
- Land Mobile Radio (LMR) site development — including off-grid and remote, helicopter-access sites
- Simulcast and interoperable systems — multi-agency, multi-jurisdiction coverage design support
- Logistics and program delivery — engineering, zoning, permitting, procurement, warehousing, and construction in coordination with prime integrators
- FirstNet and grant-program advisory — subject-matter expertise and stakeholder engagement
Representative engagements
City of Houston 700 MHz P25 Phase II — Civil infrastructure for 50 sites supporting more than 20,000 radio users across public-safety and public-service agencies — the first large-scale 700 MHz P25 Phase II trunked radio system in the United States.
Austin RDMT / CTECC — The first U.S. deployment of digital P25 interoperable public-safety radio: simulcast coverage of 1,300 square miles serving six governmental entities, roughly 50 departments, and more than 6,000 users.
DHS — New Mexico Sector — A $10M program covering 32 LMR sites across New Mexico and West Texas, including off-grid solar and helicopter-access remote sites; engineering, zoning, permitting, procurement, warehousing, and construction delivered in concert with SAIC.
DHS — Maine Sector — 30 LMR sites across Maine and New Hampshire, delivered with Motorola Solutions: leasing support, engineering, construction management, logistics, and warehousing.
